The British Horseracing Authority have confirmed punishments handed out to Darren Williams and Fergal Lynch following a disciplinary hearing.
As expected Williams has been suspended from riding for three months while Lynch, currently riding in America, has agreed to pay a £50,000 and not apply for a licence to ride in this country for 12 months.
Williams admitted passing information for reward on five occasions and accepted that he had breached the rules in associating with a disqualified person in Miles Rodgers, who along with trainer Karl Burke will learn his fate in the near future.
The hearing focused on 12 races during a five-month period in 2004 and the operation of various betting accounts allegedly held by Rodgers.
All the horses concerned were ridden by Williams or Lynch while five were trained by Burke, who saddled his first Group One winner in France on Sunday.
