This afternoon's meeting at Nottingham will go ahead as scheduled after the track passed a morning inspection.Following a deluge of rain yesterday the card was placed in doubt with more rain forecast on top of already heavy ground. However, only six millimetres fell overnight leaving the course raceable.Head groundsman Richard Litchfield said: "The good news is we are racing, we are heavy but raceable. We had 22 millimetres of rain yesterday afternoon followed by another six millimetres overnight."He added: "Some showers are forecast and obviously it will depend on how heavy they are, but at the moment we are fine to race. The wind has picked up which is also a help."
