Ryan Moore gave Plum Pudding (12-1) a fantastic front-running ride to hold off the late challenge of Captain Brilliance in the Ladbrokes Bunbury Cup at Newmarket.Carrying top weight of 9st 10lb, the Rowley Mile specialist was bounced out of the stalls by Moore and immediately grabbed the far running rail. The jockey calculated his fractions to perfection as he managed to get a break on the field going into the dip and try as Johnny Murtagh might, the favourite could not get on terms. Godolphin's Mutheeb was third, with Joseph Henry fourth.Moore said: "I just had to ask him a question early and he's got a bit tired in the last 50 yards, but he really tries and it takes a good horse to carry this sort of weight in this kind of handicap. It's the first time he's won on this course but he loves the Rowley Mile. He's a pleasure to ride."
