Profound Beauty is out to confirm recent Curragh form with Alandi and Yankee Doodle when they clash again in the Challenge Stakes at Leopardstown.
The Dermot Weld-trained mare held John Oxx's Alandi by a neck in the Curragh Cup, with Aidan O'Brien's Yankee Doodle just a head away third. It was her first race since she finished fifth in the Melbourne Cup in November.
"She was very tired after the trip to Australia. We left her over the winter and she didn't go back in until February/March time," said Stan Cosgrove, racing manager for owners the Moyglare Stud.
"She's doing well now and she's up against a couple of the same horses from last time.
"Off we go to take them on again. John Oxx's horse should have won that race at the Curragh. Johnny (Murtagh) tipped into Mick (Kinane) just as he went to come between the two horses. They are all having a go again."
Oxx and O'Brien are also represented by Aliyfa and Von Jawlensky respectively, while Jim Bolger's Fergus McIver completes the six-strong field.
