James Eustace hopes War Artist's class will pull him through on his first start for nearly a year in the freebets.co.uk Chipchase Stakes at Newcastle. One of the most consistent sprinters at the highest level last year, he was placed in the Duke Of York Stakes, the Golden Jubilee and the July Cup, but was struck down by a bout of colic and has taken a while to come to hand this summer."His work last Saturday was the best he has done all year. Although he is not at his peak yet, he is definitely getting there and is fit enough to do himself justice," Eustace told his website."He has hopefully got enough class to win and will come on for the run. It is 351 days since his last run, but the break seems to have done him good."He is moving better in his slower paces than last year and everyone is looking forward to seeing him run again. The only slight concern is the ground - War Artist does seem to be at his best on fast ground."John Gallagher believes Pusey Street Lady will not be disgraced when she steps up to Group Three company for the first time."She came out of her Haydock race very well. I gave her a fortnight off, she came back and is galloping well at home and is fresh and well," said the Moreton-in-Marsh trainer. "She deserves a crack at a race like this."Ancien Regime has his first race since joining Godolphin from Michael Jarvis, for whom he was sixth on his final start in the Group One Ladbrokes Sprint Cup at Doncaster in September."He's worked nicely and he's ready now to start his season, but he will improve for the race," said trainer Saeed bin Suroor."Ancien Regime showed a good level of form last season and he has done well over the winter. He's in good shape at the moment and six furlongs looks to be his best trip. I think he has the class to run well in a Group Three race on his seasonal return."
