Rae Guest is looking forward to seeing his stable star Serious Attitude return to the track in the Group Three Cuisine de France Summer Stakes at York on Friday. The three-year-old was unbeaten in three starts as a juvenile, culminating in Group One success in the Cheveley Park Stakes at Newmarket. She was well fancied for the 1000 Guineas at Newmarket on her first outing of the new campaign but after racing keenly in the early stages, she faded into seventh. She returns to six furlongs on the Knavesmire and Guest said: "This is the first opportunity she has had to run without a Group One penalty - that was a big attraction. Hopefully, she does well on Friday and then we can plan a sprint campaign with her."The handler went on: "She could have maybe three races between now and the end of the season and, while I'm not saying she will definitely stay in training next year, we think she would be better then."In the Guineas, she was racing too keen early on and didn't see the trip out. So, we thought we would drop her back to six furlongs."We gave her a bit of time off to get over the Guineas and then have been building up to this. She is fine and ready to go again. She did a nice bit of work last Wednesday, worked again on Saturday morning and is in good form."
