Jonbon on for Heart Wood rematch at Aintree

Jonbon could bid to gain revenge over Heart Wood in the JCB Melling Chase at Aintree on Friday.
Nicky Henderson’s 10-year-old could not keep up with Henry De Bromhead’s charge as Heart Wood ran away to a 10 length win in the Ryanair Chase at the Cheltenham Festival, but Jonbon will bid to reverse that form and claim a 13th Grade One victory.
The Ryanair fourth and fifth JPR One and Matata will also reoppose in the 12-runner field.
Dan Skelton will be triple-handed with Grey Dawning, L’Eau du Sud and the veteran Protektorat.
Willie Mullins will send over Impaire Et Passe, Gidleigh Park represents Harry Fry with the field completed by Cathy Williams’ Libberty Hunter, Joseph O’Brien’s Solness and Jane Williams’ Saint Segal.
Skelton’s Madara heads the market in the Randox Topham Handicap Chase as 43 stood their ground at the five-day confirmation stage.
There’s a strong raiding party from Ireland with Mullins entering Gentleman De Mee, Ile Atlantique and O’Moore Park and Gavin Cromwell represented by Will The Wise, Addragoole, Union Station and The King Of Prs. Gordon Elliott has Croke Park and Firefox.
Tom George has entered Il Est Francais while Skelton is also represented by Boombawn.
No Drama This End will bid for redemption in the Turners Novices’ Hurdle at Cheltenham in the Oddschecker Sefton Novices’ Hurdle.
The Paul Nicholls inmate was an impressive winner of the Challow Hurdle at Newbury but was disappointing at Prestbury Park and was eventually pulled up by Harry Cobden, while Supreme Novices’ Hurdle second Sober Glory will face 14 rivals in the ThatPrizeGuy Top Novices’ Hurdle.
