Rae Guest's Serious Attitude, winner of the Cheveley Park Stakes last year, returned to winning form in the Cuisine De France Summer Stakes at York.
Unplaced in the 1000 Guineas when she failed to stay a mile, the 7-2 chance could take high rank now she is back sprinting. Karl Burke's 5-2 favourite Lesson In Humility, third in the Golden Jubilee, made most of the running but was worn down in the closing stages by Eddie Ahern's mount. Look Busy was back in third.
Guest said: "We always knew she was a good horse, but it's difficult coming back as a three-year-old sprinter taking on older horses. We gave her a break after the Guineas, so she should come on a lot for that."
The trainer continued: "We'll keep her sprinting now. Eddie says she'll get seven furlongs, but she's probably best over a stiff six. We'll now look at the Prix Maurice de Gheest (at Deauville) in August. That's six and a half furlongs, so it looks about right. She's definitely improving."
Godolphin served further notice of their mini-resurrection when Emirates Dream won the first race of the two-day John Smith's Cup meeting. Trainer Saeed bin Suroor will be buoyed by the display of the newcomer, who showed bags of determination to outflank Laureldean Spirit by a neck in the Cakemark EBF Maiden Stakes.
Godolphin's travelling head girl, Claire Sparkes, said: "Things are going well as we've hit some form. He's a big, weak horse but he will come on a lot for that."
