Ayr Racecourse

The home of the Scottish Grand National. A Left-handed, big, galloping track with a total circuit of one mile and four furlongs and a few minor undulations. Generally, it’s a fair test, where a four-furlong run-in can play into the strengths of a strong staying/finishing type, especially when conditions are soft in mid-winter. It can seem a very long way to the winning post from the home turn.
