Kite Wood could have one more run before going for Classic glory in the Ladbrokes St Leger in September.
The Godolphin-owned colt booked his place in Doncaster's historic race when making all the running to win the Bahrain Trophy at Newmarket on Thursday. He bounced back in great style to beat Tactic by two and a half lengths after disappointing connections in the Investec Derby at Epsom last month.
"He's come out of the race very well. He's sound and is very happy with himself, no problem at all," said trainer Saeed bin Suroor. "The target for him is the St Leger but he could have one more race before in something like the Great Voltigeur at York."
