Hayley Turner was back in the winner's enclosure at Nottingham only a day after returning from an enforced spell on the sidelines.
The former champion apprentice suffered head injuries in a fall on the Newmarket gallops in March, and was initially told by the British Horseracing Authority that she would not be allowed to ride for 12 months. Turner won an appeal on Thursday night, however, and returned to action at Ascot on Friday.
Although narrowly beaten on her Ascot comeback ride, the jockey made no mistake aboard Lombok in the DG Taxis Get You Home Safely Handicap.
Turner settled the well-supported 6-1 chance at the rear of the field in the early stages but, after making stealthy headway in the straight, Michael Bell's colt powered away to score by two and a half lengths from Perfect Shot.
It was Turner's sole ride of the day after L'Enchanteresse was withdrawn from the EBF Maiden Fillies' Stakes on account of the ground.
