Classy colt Father Time is on target for the Ladbrokes Great Voltigeur Stakes at York next month.
The son of Dansili showed his appreciation for a mile and a half with victory in the Group Two King Edward VII Stakes at Royal Ascot. Henry Cecil's charge is reported to be in fine shape ahead of his next engagement which will show whether he is a likely contender for the Ladbrokes St Leger at Doncaster.
"The plan for him is to go to the Great Voltigeur at York," said Teddy Grimthorpe, racing manager to owner Khalid Abdullah. "He's in good form. We'll just take it one step at a time with him."
Grimthorpe also reported the Cecil-trained Midday on course for the Nassau Stakes at Glorious Goodwood on Saturday week. The Oasis Dream filly will be stepping back in trip after being placed behind Sariska in the English and Irish Oaks.
"She's aiming towards Goodwood at the moment for the Nassau," he added.
