Strawberrydaiquiri offered some compensation for Ryan Moore and Sir Michael Stoute after Conduit's Eclipse defeat by notching an impressive success in the Coral Distaff at Sandown. The 6-5 favourite could be called the winner from a furlong out as Moore was cruising, and when he said go she responded in style for a two-length victory. The jockey said: "She travelled very well and we kept the front two in our sights. I hadn't really gone for her two out and it is hard for them to pick up going uphill."He added: "It was only her third run and she is already a Listed winner, so she could be anything."Gary Coffey, representing owner Renata Jacobs, added: "We've just taken our time with her, but she's developing into a nice filly. There are no specific targets, but I expect we'll look at a Group Three somewhere."Moore quickly followed up on David Arbuthnot's Desert Sea (7-2) in the Coral Marathon.Judgethemoment was all the rage following his win at Royal Ascot, but Richard Hughes was struggling from some way out, despite ploughing a lone furrow up the centre of the track in the back straight.Victoria Montoya made a bold bid from the front, but Desert Sea always looked like wearing her down and gained the upper hand inside the last 100 yards for a length success.Arbuthnot said: "The key is good ground and they went a nice gallop - it was a proper stayers' race. I wouldn't discount the Ebor now."
