Willie Muir is eyeing a tilt at the Blue Square Nassau Stakes at Goodwood for Saphira's Fire following her fine comeback run in the Lancashire Oaks.
The four year-old was beaten six lengths into fifth on her first outing of the campaign at Haydock last weekend and Muir is keen to let her step up to Group One company on August 1.
"It is the intention to run Saphira's Fire in the Nassau and I thought she ran very well at Haydock the other day," said the trainer.
"She just got tired because she has been wrong through the beginning of the season - that's why she hadn't run. She travelled well through the race and went there like she was going to win before she got tired.
"She hasn't got many miles on the clock and was working brilliantly at the start of the season before she went wrong. She has returned from Haydock in good order and her well-being is really good at the moment."
The contest could see the last two Oaks winners line up in opposition, with Look Here and Sariska among the 26 entries.
Newmarket trainer John Gosden has left in Pretty Polly heroine Dar Re Mi as well as last season's champion juvenile filly Rainbow View.
Lush Lashes was arguably an unlucky runner-up 12 months ago and could bid to go one better, while other possibles include Midday, Reggane and Katiyra.
