He won two Grade One races over hurdles, would have hacked up at Limerick were it not for his mistake at the last and is presumably likely to stay the trip.
It's two and a half years since Flooring Porter tried this way around and one has to have doubts.
It's interesting to see the talented Sam Ewing team up increasingly with Noel Meade. There are ifs and buts about these but Idas Boy was a close second to Gerri Colombe last year and he should win this if ready.
