Noble Exhibit enters Doncaster reckoning with Beresford win

Noble Exhibit put himself into the reckoning for the Futurity Trophy at Doncaster as he made all to win the Group Two Churchill Tyres Beresford Stakes at the Curragh.
The Frankel colt was sent straight to the front with City Of Dubai settling in on his hindquarters and as Wayne Lordan shook him up with two furlongs to go, the Paddy Twomey-trained City Of Dubai struggled to make inroads.
Noble Exhibit (10-11 favourite) saw out the trip to complete a productive afternoon for Aidan O’Brien’s two-year-olds following the victories of Haffner and Sun Goddess at Newmarket.
Ballydoyle stable representative Chris Armstrong said: “He did the exact same in Punchestown as he did here.
“He’s a horse that is well able to bowl along at a solid tempo and when Wayne got him balanced after turning in, he just gradually picked up.
“From the two down to the one, when he really asked him to quicken, he really did drop down and lengthen. He went out through the line well.
“He’s a horse that is progressing very quickly with each run.
“Now he goes into the mix with the others for the Futurity Trophy and the races in France at the back-end.
“He’s really one to look forward to for next year. He’s really starting to put everything together.”
