Leicester card given green light

This afternoon's meeting at Leicester goes ahead as scheduled after officials gave the meeting the green light without the need for a planned 7.30am inspection.The Midlands venue has been hit with a substantial amount of rain during the week and although the track was waterlogged in places on Friday, clerk of the course Jimmy Stevenson is pleased to report conditions have improved.Stevenson said: "We've had a good look and we're happy to give the meeting the nod, so it's good news. The ground is heavy but there is a dry and sunny forecast for the remainder of the day."
