Michael Jarvis admits he is still on a fact-finding mission with All The Aces ahead of the Princess Of Wales's Blue Square Stakes at Newmarket tomorrow.
The four-year-old scored by six lengths over course and distance last month, but is stepping up from Listed to Group Two company on his return to Headquarters.
"He won nicely two weeks ago and has come out of that race well. This is a better quality race, but we are very happy with his condition," said the trainer.
"When you get up to a rating of 115 you are limited in what you can run in. This is on our doorstep and the ground is good, so we thought it was worth taking a chance. We think he's a nice horse, but we'll have a better idea after this."
The Godolphin team are double-handed, with both Campanologist and Schiaparelli lining up in the famous royal blue silks.
Campanologist was beaten half a length by Bronze Cannon in the Hardwicke Stakes at Royal Ascot, while Schiaparelli has his first start since finishing down the field in last year's Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe.
"Campanologist ran a really good race at Royal Ascot and I was pleased with his performance there," trainer Saeed bin Suroor told the Godolphin website.
"He's been working well since and I think a mile and a half is a good distance for him. He has the class to run well in Group Two company and I am looking forward to seeing how he gets on.
"Schiaparelli will need the race. He has a high level of form in Europe and the mile and a half trip will also suit him. He has been doing some good work, but I am expecting him to improve for the run."
