James Tate is planning to keep unbeaten filly Mukaabra to handicap company for the time being.
After making it two wins from as many starts when defying top weight on her first start in handicap company at Newmarket earlier this month, the three-year-old was only nudged up 5lb to a mark of 80 by the handicapper.
Although the Newmarket handler has high hopes the daughter of Iffraaj will be able to operate at a higher level in the future, he is keen to take advantage of what he believes is a workable mark first.
Tate said: "Mukaabra only went up to a mark of 80, which is as far as she probably could have gone.
"We will probably make use of the mark. There is a fillies' handicap at Yarmouth over a mile for her next week. If she doesn't go for that, there is a fillies' one back at Newmarket the following week.
"We are hoping to take that route before taking on something warmer. There is a Listed race over the straight mile at Ascot (Valiant Stakes) at the end of July and that would be something we would look at it if she goes well next time."
