This six-year-old hasn't been hurdling for a while, but he ran a blinder on the Flat off a rating of 80 last month and, trained by Noel Meade, he's surely been primed for a big run at his local track off 116.

He has lots going for him, and Meade and Ewing were among the winners at Wexford on Friday.

Obviously one is taking a chance on a horse nearly three years without a win, but he seemed in much better nick at Punchestown back hurdling when last seen, and I could see him reversing form with Zanahiyr in the reapplied cheekpieces, especially as he likes this course and distance.

I can't have Bob Olinger, and Home By The Lee gives a lot of weight away, so the selection is worth risking at chunky odds.

3.15 Navan: Inthepocket

Finished: 1stSP: 1/2

I am not convinced there is as much between the Henry de Bromhead-trained runner and Facile Vega, as the wagering implies.

Facile Vega did beat him at the Cheltenham Festival, but not by very far, and this is obviously a different challenge for both.

The son of Blue Bresil then won a Grade One at Aintree and is trained by a man who will surely get the best out of him chasing.
