Imbongi given Stateside mission

Mike de Kock is considering a trip to America next with Imbongi following his third place in the totesport.com Summer Mile.Imbongi had made a successful British debut in the Criterion Stakes at Newmarket over seven furlongs two weeks ago and followed that up by only being beaten a length by Aqlaam in the Ascot Group Two on Saturday.The trainer told mikedekockracing.com: "That was a world-class run. The winner, Aqlaam, is rated 117 and talk is that he is going for the Breeders' Cup. We're considering the Arlington Million next for Imbongi."
