Horse racing tips: Sunday picks from Angus McNae

Our presenter and website regular Angus McNae has four tips for some excellent jumps action from Sandown and Naas. Enjoy every moment live on Racing TV.

1.40 Sandown: Southoftheborder

The Nicky Henderson team are very much up and running now and this horse can give them another winner.

Southoftheborder won a bumper at Ffos Las in March despite looking clueless for most of the race but he seemed to know what was required in the closing stages and ultimately sprinted clear of his rivals.

He won his only start in points and this looks a good opportunity to get off the mark over hurdles.

2.15 Sandown: In the Air

He won two races over hurdles last season and remains lightly-raced, which means there could be plenty more to come now he is chasing.

In The Air made a promising debut over fences at Huntingdon where he finished second but pulled clear of the rest having jumped proficiently. He looks sure to improve on that effort and this does not look the strongest of handicap chases.

2.50 Sandown: Iliko D’Olivate

He looked to have plenty of potential last season and can resume winning ways here.

Iliko D'Olivate was impressive when winning at Taunton on his last start in April, displaying his customary high cruising speed, and ran out a five-length winner.

He graduates to handicap company now and a mark of 124 may well underestimate his ability. He looks certain to go close on his handicap debut.

3.10 Naas: Grangeclare West

He has untapped potential having just raced five times in his career.

Grangeclare West was found out in Grade One company over hurdles last season, but looked good when winning his final start of last term and looks worthy of support as he now embarks on a chasing career.

He has won twice after a lay-off so his absence here should not be taken as a negative, and this very talented performer could become a top novice chaser.
