Freddie Head expects Goldikova to be tough to top if she returns to her best in the Etihad Airways Falmouth Stakes at Newmarket.
The four-year-old was one of the stars of last season, progressing from finishing second to Zarkava in the French 1000 Guineas to bagging the Breeders' Cup Mile, but she failed to shine on her return in the Prix d'Ispahan, finishing more than 10 lengths behind Never On Sunday in seventh.
Head said: "She's very well, I'm very happy with her work and all could not be better with her. Nothing came to light after her Longchamp run, I think she just didn't handle the very soft ground that day, but she's been OK since."
He added: "We gave her a bit of a break after that but she has arrived in Newmarket well and I think the ground will suit her much better.
"Obviously being back against the fillies is better, it should be an easier race, but she will have to be back to her best. If she is back on form, I think she will be hard to beat."

The Richard Hannon-trained filly landed the Group Two German 1000 Guineas after finishing sixth behind Ghanaati at Newmarket.
"Penny's Gift steps up to the top table for the Falmouth Stakes, having won the German 1000 Guineas, but she is a good filly who deserves to take her chance and she is well capable of finishing in the money," the Wiltshire handler told
