Richard Hannon is expecting bold shows from his two runners in the Weatherbys Bloodstock Insurance Star Stakes at Sandown tomorrow.
The Everleigh trainer saddles Cherry Hinton Stakes fifth Crown and recent Newbury scorer Middle Club in the seven-furlong Listed race.
"We run Crown and Middle Club and both would have chances. Crown was a 33-1 chance in the Cherry Hinton Stakes at Newmarket, yet only just missed the frame, and the extra furlong clearly suited her," he told richardhannonracing.tv.
"She steps up to seven furlongs here, which won't be a problem, while Middle Club beat a highly-rated filly (Secret Queen) of Brian Meehan's at Newbury, and the pair of them pulled four lengths clear of the rest, so it might have been a decent maiden."
A field of eight also includes Mick Channon's Leicester winner Gallic Star, Paul Cole's Newbury victor Mistic Magic and John Dunlop's Mudaaraah, beaten favourite in the Listed Empress Stakes at Newmarket.
