Kingsgate Native is not certain to be ready to run at Glorious Goodwood - despite recovering from a setback following his comeback start at Royal Ascot.
The dual Group One sprint winner twisted a hind joint after finishing down the field when bidding to win the Golden Jubilee Stakes for the second successive year.
"He just twisted a hind joint after Royal Ascot. The vets checked it out and it's fine but it's now really a question of him telling us when he's ready to run," said Chris Richardson, managing director for owners Cheveley Park Stud.
"There are one or two options. There is possibly the Group Three at Goodwood, the King George Stakes (Audi Stakes), but he might need more time."
Cheveley Park bought the Mujadil colt as a prospective stallion but he proved infertile at stud and was put back into training with Sir Michael Stoute, having previously been with John Best.
