Rachel Candelora's top tips for Wednesday: Rely on Magic Mirror

While the jumps action last weekend was outstanding with the likes of Buveur D’Air and Apple’s Jade strutting their stuff, the standout performance, to me, was without doubt Kachy’s demolition job in the Listed Cleve Stakes at Lingfield.
Since coming back from a short break and a wind op, Kachy has been unstoppable in two all-weather runs and made all the running to break the track record both times.
He did not just break the Lingfield track record over 6f on Saturday, he shattered the clock by 0.7 seconds, into a headwind!
He will be the one to watch out for on All-Weather Finals day.
Speaking of the all-weather, there are two meetings on Wednesday that are of interest, a rare Kempton afternoon and Wolverhampton evening meeting.
Here are my fancies for both cards. Best of luck.
In my eyes, Magic Mirror is the Queen of Kempton as she appears to be a much better mare around the Sunbury track than she is anywhere else.
All six of her wins, and all but one placed effort, have been at Kempton and today she is stepping back up in trip to 1m3f which will suit after and she finished a good second last time out where she just ran out of time to catch a runaway winner.
While she is staying in the same grade as her last run, she is racing in a fillies one race, and neither of her regular riders are available so Adam Kirby has picked up the mount, and what could be better than the current King of the All-Weather getting together with the Queen of Kempton.
A competitive field for the Kempton London Middle Distance Series Qualifier and Thaqaffa, who won this race twelve months ago, looks set to come out on top again.
Thaqaffa was defeated by a neck at Lingfield in December on her comeback run before finishing third at Wolverhampton where she travelled like the best horse in the straight but could not go with the leading pair close home.
Fearsome, the winner of that race, went on to win again and complete a four-timer at Lingfield.
That form will probably be the key to this contest as the second, third, fourth and fifth are all back here and Thaqaffa is now 2lbs better off with Technological who was second that day
Thaqaffa clearly likes the track having won there three times, including twice over course and distance.
The step up in trip and addition of cheekpieces saw Noble Expression cruise home by eight lengths last time out over course and distance and she barely broke a sweat in the process.
He is being turned out here again under a penalty but he is still officially 2lbs well in and did not appear to have had a hard race last week as he was dossing in the final furlong.
From stall two, this Jim Boyle-trained gelding can get a good position again early on and the fact that he can lead or sit behind the leaders will help in what might become a tactical race with only six runners.
Zorawar picked up his first victory in Britain this month with a six-length win over course and distance for the very much in-form David O’Meara.
This was in a Classified Stakes where he was better off in the weights than most but, with that confidence boosting run and officially being well in even with the penalty, Zorawar will be tough to beat if he reproduces that form again here.
A field of five go to post for this contest and Sheberghan looks interesting coming here off a solid third on his debut for Archie Watson after a seven-month break.
This son of Sea The Stars was bought by Archie Watson for €45,000 at the Goffs HIT sale in November from the Aga Khan consignment having won one of his three starts for Dermot Weld.
On his British and all-weather debut after a break, he came from last to third over ten furlongs at Lingfield before the progressive Forbidden Planet and Family Fortunes - who won on Saturday at Kempton -ran past him, but he was still over two and a half lengths clear of the rest of the field.
With that race under his belt and first time cheek pieces, he looks the one they all have to beat.
