Colonial success for Fabre

Andre Fabre sent out odds-on favourite Colonial to a power-packed success in the Prix Roland De Chambure on Grand Prix De Paris evening at Longchamp. With the French capital joining the rest of the country for a national holiday to celebrate Bastille Day, the crowds turned out in large numbers in the west of the city. And those who supported Sheikh Mohammed's 4-6 market leader never had a moment's worry as the Cape Cross colt forged clear halfway down the home stretch to see off American Nizzy by two and a half lengths.
