Betting expert Dave Nevison has a couple of fancies at Beverley on Wednesday plus another selection Kempton. 4.10 Beverley: Whispering Winds
In a race full of unattractive betting propositions, I am happy to take a chance on Whispering Sands, who will be having her first run for Gemma Tutty.
This filly was running well in competitive nurseries on her latest starts in 2021, looking very much as a though a step up in trip would help, so this two furlongs further than she has tried before looks a good move.
She has been dropped to her lowest handicap mark and it will be interesting if the market speaks in a positive direction for her belated reappearance. Tutty is enjoying a very good season.
5.10 Beverley: Frisky
Frederick Larsen is proving himself a very good rider in sprints and he can click again on this progressive three-year-old handicapper.
In my view, Frisky looks to have been given a very generous mark for her first run in a handicap.
She was impressive in a small field last time and was previously runner up to Royal Aclaim in a maiden at Bath. That horse is now favourite for the Group One Nunthorpe at York next week.
She finished ahead of a next-time-out winner there, so even though she was beaten easily by the winner the form looks strong. She should be good enough to land this over a very similar 5f to last time.

8.00 Kempton: Tequilamockingbird
He was unable to follow up her Lingfield win at Newbury last time but still ran very creditably and might well resume winning ways back on an all-weather surface.
She is related to useful all weather performers and the Lingfield form stands out among her efforts, so it could easily be that she too is best on these surfaces.
James Doyle taking over and the Fellowes yard is still in fine form. There are a few progressive types in the field but Tequilamockingbird looks sure to go well.
