Noble Alan could be considered for a trip to Ascot on Saturday week after his impressive performance at Kelso at the weekend.Nicky Richards' grey had the classy Kalahari King behind when winning the Mayfield Restaurant Chase and his next objective will very much depend on where he gets his suitable good ground."There are a couple of races at Ascot. There's the conditions race and there's a handicap, so we'll see, but he is ground-dependant," said Richards."We were very happy with him and while we haven't done a lot with him since, he seems to have come out of the race well."He was in the Paddy Power, but I think the ground is already soft at Cheltenham and this lad needs proper good ground, so I think I would have been wasting the owner's money if I'd left him in there."He's a horse with bags of boot so I think we'll probably stay at two miles for the time being. But if the ground was right and there was an opportunity over two and a half, we might have a go at that."Hopefully as the season goes on he can prove himself a high-class horse."
