Our on-course presenter Johnny Ward is looking forward to an excellent weekend of racing in Ireland and has one tip for Saturday's card at Punchestown. Enjoy every moment live on Racing TV. Relatively small fields in some key races at Down Royal and Navan grated with me a little of late but the two days of Jumps racing this weekend are a revelation.
I'll be working at Cork on Sunday, which is rather second-best to Punchestown, yet it still features some top-class horses.
And at Punchestown today, we've class prevailing practically throughout. It's a devilishly tricky card for punters, as every time your eyes are taken by a horse, there's at least one glaring danger to dent your confidence. Be lucky.
I was in Clonmel when this horse won with ease, after which Tim Doyle spoke about the training problems he'd had. He gambled on turning him out again quickly at Tipperary and it backfired, as he never went a yard, but that's going to make him a very backable price here. If he bounces back he's still on a feasible mark and this big field is ideal.
