Angus McNae's top tips for Sunday: City Tour offers value at Kempton

The Racing TV presenter selected a 7-1 winner in his column last week and is back to mark your card for the racing action at Redcar and Kempton on Sunday.
My friend and colleague Dave Nevison had a superb week tipping on racingtv.com this week, with two 16-1 winners among his winning tips, so I am feeling a bit of pressure as he has set the bar high!
A 7-1 winner last week kept the show on the road and I will be looking to at least emulate that with four selections on Sunday which are all chalked up bigger than 5-1.
Redcar selections:
Watch how Leapers Wood fared at Pontefract last time out
This horse has joined Paul Midgley having been with Michael Dods and is just the type of horse that this talented handler will get a tune out of.
He shaped with promise on his first start for the yard at Pontefract where was keen early on and met some interference before blowing up in the final furlong. He was allowed to come home in his own time after those exertions.
He will strip a lot fitter for that and is open to some improvement given that he is lightly raced. The handicapper has dropped him 3lb to 74 following that effort which makes him quite well treated and he must be supported at 9-1.
This useful handicapper won at Ascot and Doncaster last year and with the cobwebs blown away by a recent run, he is overpriced at 11-1..
That recent run came at Newcastle where he travelled well before having to be switched and he weakened as if the run was needed.
That should have put him spot on for this outing and from a handicapping point of view, he looks well treated.
He won off marks of 80 and 84 last season and both of those wins came in class 2 company. Off 84 in this class 3, he ought be more than competitive and looks overpriced at 11-1.
Kempton selections:
A Sir Mark Prescott handicap debutant is always worthy of note. Wearing cheekpieces for the first time should help this horse and he has shown distinct signs of ability in his three qualifying races.
He was never involved in all of his three starts, but equally was never given a hard time.
Those runs were all over seven furlongs and he sticks to that trip here. The wide draw in stall ten is something of a concern but from a handicapping point of view, he looks well treated off an opening mark of 59.
Sir Mark has a 23 per-cent strike rate with handicap debutants and the 7-1 quoted is too big. He could easily go off at half those odds.
Whilst being wary of the likely favourite Edinburgh Castle, I think 7-1 about City Tour, who is thriving and loves the track, is a fair price.
He is much improved since he had blinkers applied and although his mark has risen to 88, the way he travels through his races will see him competitive once again.
He has won two of his last three races and both of his victories have come at this track plus his winning run only came to an end last time at Lingfield when he bumped into the well-handicapped improver Pirate King.
There is every chance that he can regain the winning thread here under Cieran Fallon who takes off a valuable three pounds. I expect him to go very close.
