Saturday horse racing tips: Three best bets at Killarney and Gowran

And just like that the weather changed as summer fell into autumn.

We had a summer that ran into late September in Ireland but this week it got a lot colder, darker and - just like that - we've top jumps action hinting at the return of the winter.

There are three nice bets across both cards on Saturday. Be lucky.

1.25 Killarney: Comfort Zone

Finished: 5thSP: 5/4

By Churchill out of Iveagh Gardens, he's a half-brother to Flying Scotsman - who had the distinction of winning handicaps in successive days over very different trips at Galway last year.

Everything about Comfort Zone spells progress with time but he ran a really nice race on debut at the Curragh when given a notably sympathetic ride, finishing just behind two horses who won next time. He looks a certain maiden winner.

3.45 Killarney: Siofra

What a month Jessica Harrington has had, with a 24% strike-rate in September going into Friday's meet at Dundalk.

Siofra has a visor on here and that is not a surprise as she ran in snatches at Galway last time when in the early traffic. She found herself too far back to really threaten but made very nice late gains and she's drawn to get handy here.

It's a small concern that she was declared in cheekpieces last month (pulled out due to ground) but she has a lot of upside in a modest-enough race.

5.05 Gowran: Spades Are Trumps

Finished: PU SP: 6/1

This brother to Ilikedwayurthinkin is from a prolific family and, nicely-backed, he absolutely hacked up at Kilbeggan. He looks to have little or nothing to beat at these weights and should win without much hassle.
