Musselburgh and Newbury take centre stage on Racing TV on Sunday following the abandonment of Navan.
I have selections at both tracks, and fingers crossed at least a couple of the below will land the spoils for us. Best of luck.
This Irish raider from Gordon Elliott’s yard looks to have an outstanding chance of completing a hat-trick here.
She won a Bumper at Ayr before making an impressive hurdling debut at Fairyhouse this month.
She jumped very slickly that day, travelled strongly and thrashed her rivals by 21 lengths.
An entry in the Mares’ Novices’ Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival suggests that she is highly thought of and this should be easy pickings for her under Brian Hughes, albeit she is likely to be a short price.
Fixture abandoned
This horse was allowed to race off a mark that was 10lb lower than when he last raced over fences last time out, and he duly obliged at Wincanton.
He has only been raised a couple of pounds for that, so he remains leniently treated, and that Wincanton race looked to be a strong one plus it was run at a decent gallop.
If Another Crick can reproduce that performance here, he has a good chance of scoring again.
The Laura Morgan team are in red-hot form. Four of her past ten runners have won, and in a race full of exposed, and out of form, chasers, this selection makes plenty of appeal on his debut over the larger obstacles.
He ran well off a rating of 99 in a Novices’ Handicap Hurdle at Fakenham last time out and he has cheekpieces applied here which will hopefully improve his finishing effort.
Adam Wedge is an excellent jockey booking and I think this six-year-old has been found a weak race to continue the winning form of the yard.
